Callum Bain

Partner and Co-Founder

Callum is responsible for overseeing Highbridge’s Hedge Fund, Proprietary Trading and Alternatives business. He specialises in running client relationships and executing mandates across the proprietary and systematic commodity trading and analytics markets, spanning oil, power, gas, metals, softs and bulk commodities. He has been responsible for a number of the high profile portfolio manager and analyst moves across the hedge fund, trading house and investment banking space. In addition to this, he has significant experience originating and executing mandates in the physical commodity trading markets across the European, US and Asian regions.

Prior to co-founding Highbridge Partners, Callum spent close to 10 years at Principal Search Partners, splitting his time between the London and New York offices. He was latterly responsible for building the group’s commodity hedge fund practice, as well as developing the group’s physical commodity trading client exposure across EMEA. While in New York he was responsible for originating new client relationships and searches, as well as execution of mandates across North and South America. He has worked across multiple regions and has possesses strong market knowledge across the most prominent commodity trading hubs.

Callum started his career at a leading global Commodities Search firm based in London.

He holds a BA in International Business from the University of Leeds.
